Genesis Bodywork has served Brisbane for more than two decades, first in New Farm and now from a relaxed, private practice in Ashgrove.
I have worked in massage and bodywork for more than 25 years, with training in Australia and England and international experience with Steiner in shipboard health spas. Over that time my work has expanded from remedial and sports massage into dry needling, Chinese Tui Na, Hawaiian Ka Huna, hot stone massage and other hands-on approaches.
The benefit of that breadth is not that every technique needs to be used. It is that I can choose from a large practical toolkit and adapt a treatment to the person in front of me — whether the aim is to work on a troublesome shoulder, address persistent muscular tension, recover from physical activity, or simply have an excellent restorative massage.
I prefer treatments to feel professional without feeling clinical. There is time to talk through what is bothering you, decide what makes sense, and adjust pressure and technique as the treatment develops.
